I received a replacement card, do I need to activate my card again?
If your card was issued as a replacement for a damaged card:
Your new card will be delivered to you active and can be used right away for online or in-store purchases.If you've received a new card because your current card is expiring soon or was reported lost/stolen, all you have to do is confirm or update your PIN by following the steps listed on your new card.
However, for your first in-store purchase, you'll need to insert your card and enter your existing PIN when prompted. After completing that transaction, you'll be able to tap to pay for future in-store purchases.
If your card was replaced for other reasons (e.g., lost/stolen, product switch, card expiration etc.)
Please use one of the following options to activate your new card:
In-store (Our simple and convenient way)
Make a purchase at any physical store that accepts card payments.
Insert your card and enter your existing PIN when prompted.
Once your transaction is completed, your card will be activated and can be used in-store and online.
Online
Log in to your PC Financial® account, via web at www.pcfinancial.ca/activate (opens in a new window) or via the mobile app
Go to ‘Accounts’
Select the card you would like to activate
Click on ‘Activate now’ and follow the onscreen prompts.
Note: After online activation, you’ll need to enable tap functionality by making an in-store purchase with your PIN
