What types of transaction no longer have a foreign currency conversion fee?

As of February 6, 2025, you won’t be charged a foreign currency conversion fee when you make any of the following transactions with your PC Money™ Account:

  • Purchases in a foreign currency

  • Refunds in a foreign currency

  • ATM withdrawals in a foreign currency (please note that ATM withdrawal fees may still apply)

Some merchants may offer you the ability to convert the amount of a foreign currency transaction to Canadian dollars before charging to your PC Money ™ Account. When this happens, the conversion is performed by a third party, and certain fees and charges may apply. To save on fees, make sure to tell the merchant to charge your PC Money™ Account in the foreign currency.
