There are a total of ten (10) prizes available to be won (each a “Prize”) consisting of 1,000,000 PC Optimum™ points . The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize is $1000.00 CAD.

The ARV of each prize is based upon the PC Optimum™ rewards redeemable value set out in the PC Optimum™ Program Terms and Conditions at the time of preparing these Rules. However, the actual value of PC Optimum™ points will depend on the available rewards and reward options selected at the time of redemption (and any difference between the ARV and actual value will NOT be awarded). PC Optimum™ points have no cash value but are redeemable under the PC Optimum™ Program toward eligible merchandise at participating retail locations operating under the Loblaws Inc. and Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. banners. The use and redemption of PC Optimum™ points is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the PC Optimum™ Program Terms and Conditions available at https://www.pcoptimum.ca/company-policy/terms-and-conditions (as may be amended from time to time), including redemption restrictions. The PC Optimum™ points will be added to each applicable confirmed Prize winner’s PC Optimum™ member account (“PC Optimum™ Account”). Becoming a PC Optimum™ member is free. Each Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). No substitutions except at Sponsor’s option. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any Prize with a prize of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award. The characteristics and features of each Prize, except as explicitly stated above, are at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.

On November 15, 2023 (the “Draw Date”) in Toronto, Ontario at approximately 12 pm ET, the Sponsor or its designated representative will perform ten (10) random draws from among all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period (the “Prize Draw”) and the first ten (10) selected Entries shall each be deemed potential Prize winner. The odds of winning a Prize will depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period.

The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a maximum of three (3) attempts to contact each potential Prize winner via the email address provided as part of Contest entry within ten (10) business days of the Draw Date. If any potential Prize winner cannot be contacted within three (3) attempts or ten (10) business days of the Draw Date, or fails to respond to such contact within the allotted time, that potential Prize winner will be disqualified and shall not be entitled to receive any prize, and another entrant may, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries, and be subject to disqualification, in the same manner. Each Prize will be awarded only to those selected entrants whose entry is drawn and who become a confirmed winner in accordance with these Contest Rules.

BEFORE BEING DECLARED A CONFIRMED PRIZE WINNER, each potential Prize winner will be required to: (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid which will be administered by telephone on a pre-arranged date and time, or, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, by another method acceptable to the potential Prize winner; (b) sign and return within ten (10) business days of notification the Sponsor’s declaration and release form, which (among other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize as awarded; (iii) releases the Contest Parties (the “Releasees”) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, survey answers, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. If a potential Prize winner: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question in the manner described above; (b) fails to return the properly executed Contest documents, within the specified time; and/or (c) cannot accept the Prize as awarded (for any reason); then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to any Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries received during the Contest Period (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new potential Prize winner, with the necessary amendments).

In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Contest Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. In particular, the Sponsor’s employees are not authorized to waive, modify or amend any provision or provisions of these Contest Rules in any manner whatsoever.

i) By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Contest Entry for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with the Loblaw Companies Limited Privacy Policy, https://www.pcoptimum.ca/company-policy/privacy-policy.
